Mytikas Harbour

38° 40.1′ N · 20° 56.9′ E

A working, non-touristy mainland village harbour facing Kalamos across the Mytikas Strait, with the Boumistos mountain (1,573 m) rising behind.

Practical

Sailingissues.com: the breakwaters of the unfinished second basin have subsided below sea level; good shelter in the larger basin except from SSW; few berths available. my-sea: care needed with floating mooring lines; the entrance is marked by poles but hard to make out in the afternoon breeze; there have been reports of thefts from yachts; the outside anchorage is uncomfortable with swell. Supermarket, ATM, fuel station and water in the village (my-sea). Water taxi to Kastos. Sailingissues waypoint (50 m south of the light): 38 39.900 N, 20 56.680 E.
