Kiveri Harbour

37° 31.6′ N · 22° 44.0′ E · approximate

A tiny fishing harbour on the west shore of the gulf, straight across from Nafplio, under a hillside village with two pebble beaches, a little suspension footbridge and a handful of seafront tavernas.

Practical

Coordinate approx: placed in water just S of the mapped pier (OSM way 120948547, running E from 37.52716, 22.73104 to the pier-head light at 37.52713, 22.732, mapped as a flashing minor light), checked against the OSM coastline. Visit Peloponnese describes 'a little harbour with fishing boats'; no cruising guide we found (Sailing Issues, Sea-Seek) covers it, so there are no published depths — sound your way in and expect the pier to be taken by local boats. Exposure is our inference: the shore faces E across the gulf, so the afternoon SE sea breeze (Sea-Seek) will push a chop onto it — treat it as a calm-morning or lunch stop, about 4 nm from Nafplio. Ashore (OSM): AB Konopisi and Fotopoulos supermarkets, Lymperis bakery, Meat Maria butcher, pharmacy, and tavernas Isalos, O Kanaris, To Pournari, Tsioulos.

Best for

Quiet lunch stop across the bay from Nafplio

Season
