Glyfada Beach (Corfu)
39° 35.5′ N · 19° 48.5′ E
A long golden-sand beach backed by green hills on the west coast, with shallow, clear water and lively beach bars.
Practical
Coordinate from OpenStreetMap. Organised beach with sunbeds, beach bars, a mini-market and watersports including jet skis and parasailing (Greeka). Day anchoring off only in calm weather — the west coast is exposed to the prevailing NW and to swell. Partly nudist Myrtiotissa beach is the next bay north (39.59553, 19.79952, OSM). For anchoring further south off Pelekas see Pelekas (Kontogialos) Day Anchorage; the Kaiser's Throne viewpoint is on the ridge above Pelekas.
Best for
A calm-day swim on the open west coast
Season
