Galatas has two national-chain supermarkets, an AB Vassilopoulos and a Coop, which are bigger and often cheaper than the Poros minimarkets and a short water-taxi hop from the Poros quay.

Wikipedia notes two large national-chain supermarkets plus grocers, butchers, greengrocers and bakers. If you are moored at Galatas Quay you can walk; from Poros take the water taxi (about 3 minutes) and a taxi back with heavy loads.
