Ermioni Harbour (Kastri & Limani)

37° 23.3′ N · 23° 15.0′ E

A friendly, island-feeling town on a wooded headland facing Hydra and Dokos, with a working harbour on the north side of the peninsula and smaller 'mandrakia' quays to the south — cheaper and calmer than the islands.

Practical

Coordinate is the OSM charted-anchorage symbol in the north harbour. Anchor off near the ancient mole, or go stern-to or bows-to behind the outer mole. For more peace and quiet and views across the Hydra Gulf, moor on the south side of the headland. Noforeignland reviewers rate Ermioni Bay as spacious with good holding in mud, but note low water visibility and afternoon wind and swell; the peninsula anchorage has good holding on sand but water-taxi wakes. A new marina (about 127 berths, yachts to 65 m) has been planned for years in the shallow north corner; sailingissues reported in August 2026 that it is expected to be finished in 2027 — expect works in that corner. Ferries and hydrofoils from Piraeus call here (2–3 hours). Several supermarkets, greengrocers, butchers, bakeries and pharmacies are within a few hundred metres of the quay, plus many fish tavernas; the town is famous for fish and pomegranates. 11 nm to Hydra or Spetses, 5 nm to Dokos.
