A quiet, sandy nesting beach on the east side of Laganas Bay, backed by hills, with the warmest water on the island (27–30 °C in summer) and a couple of family tavernas.
Practical
A protected nesting beach with daytime-only access, 7am to sunset (ARCHELON); the waters off the nesting beaches fall in the park's restricted zones, so check the zone map rather than approaching by yacht in season. Reached by two steep roads from the Argasi–Vasilikos coast road. Pelouzo islet lies 1–2 km offshore in a no-navigation area. No water sports allowed.
