Samos Marina (Pythagorio)

Samos's only full-service marina, cut into the coast just east of Pythagorio and a few minutes from the airport, so it is the island's charter hub and the natural first or last night of a Samos Sea cruise.

Call 'Samos Marina' on VHF 9 before entering; the entrance between the pier head and the shore cliffs is tight but clear and lit, keep close to the jetty on your port side, and wait inside for the marina RIB to lead you in. Laid mooring lines at every berth - do not drop your anchor. About 260 berths (one directory says 280), max LOA 50 m, max draft 6 m; water and 220V on every berth; two shower/toilet blocks (few showers), coin and attended laundry, free Wi-Fi (reported unreliable), mini-market and cafe. Attendants are not on duty 24 hours: they usually arrive 9-10 am and leave 8-9 pm, so arrive in daylight hours. Fuel: CruisersWiki reports the fuel dock in the eastern basin back in operation in 2015, and a 2022 marina profile says it had closed - a cruiser notes you must tell reception on VHF 9 beforehand if you want diesel; confirm before relying on it. It is a port of entry, but clearance is done at the Port Police in Pythagorio, a 15-minute walk with your papers. Several services listed on the marina website do not exist (CruisersWiki, 2017).
