One of Samos's two official ports of entry and the closest to the Turkish coast - the place to clear in or out when arriving from Kusadasi or the Dodecanese.
Practical
Hail the Coast Guard (Limenarchio) on VHF 12 when arriving from Turkey; they expect to be informed. Boats berthed at Samos Marina must walk (about 15 minutes) to Pythagorio with ship's papers for entry and exit formalities. Position is the harbour itself (approx) - the Port Police office is on the Pythagorio waterfront; ask on the quay. Opening hours and current paperwork requirements were not published in the sources reviewed - check by VHF on arrival.
