Ro Islet
36° 9.3′ N · 29° 29.8′ E
A tiny rock west of Kastellorizo made famous by Despina Achladioti, the 'Lady of Ro', who raised the Greek flag every day until her death in 1982. A border-guard post keeps up the tradition today.
Practical
Wikipedia: uninhabited except for the military outpost; Hellenistic watchtower remains; assigned to Italy by the 1932 treaty and Greek since 1947. Military post: do not land without permission. View it under way, or by local excursion boat from Kastellorizo. Her tomb is on the island (Commons).
