Two supermarkets in Pedi village serve boats at Symi Marina and in the bay, so you need not walk to Gialos for basics.

Pin: Katsura supermarket (OSM, tel +30 2246 071417). Mavroukos supermarket is at the NW corner of the bay (OSM 36.61439, 27.85548). Sailing Issues also notes a 'dangerously well-stocked' liquor mini-market in the SW corner of the bay. mySea confirms a grocery within walking distance of the marina.
