Panagia Kakaviotissa Hike (Lemnos)
39° 51.9′ N · 25° 6.4′ E
A steep half-hour climb to a tiny 13th-century chapel built into a cave under a rock overhang — no roof, the sky is the ceiling — with views over the Aegean.
Practical
Coordinate is the chapel in OpenStreetMap; the trailhead car park is mapped at 39.8725, 25.10785, about 5 km from Myrina harbour. Catamaran Horizon (2026): park at the foot of the mountain and hike about 30 minutes on a steep trail to a white cross on the summit and the blue-and-white chapel in the cave. Visit Limnos calls it the only roofless church in the world. Wear proper shoes; no shade.
