A sandy cove where the Chalaris river gorge meets the sea, beside the foundations of a 6th-century BC temple of Artemis Tauropolos - and the most famous sunset on Ikaria.
Practical
6 km west of Armenistis. Clothing optional. Walk up the riverbed to a small waterfall and pool. A few tavernas and rooms on the cliff above. North-west coast, open to the meltemi - reach it by road from Evdilos rather than by sea.
