Mistegna Bay (Lesvos)
39° 12.8′ N · 26° 28.7′ E
A small bay on the east coast north of Mytilene with a little fishing port to leave the dinghy.
Practical
Grecosailor crew anchored in 6–7 m clear water on sand between the small port and the swimming area. East-coast anchorages face Turkey (about 10 nm away), which keeps seas moderate, but rocks above and below water are scattered along this coast — keep a close eye on the chart (yachting.com). Further south: Pamfila (39.1611, 26.5335; thick mud in 4.5 m, decent meltemi shelter, open NE–SE) and Panagiouda harbour (39.1435, 26.5301).
Best for
Stop on the east-coast run to or from Mytilene
