Mandraki (Kastellorizo)

36° 9.0′ N · 29° 35.9′ E

Kastellorizo's small secondary harbour, a quiet bay just east of the main town over the Horafia neighbourhood. It is a good anchoring alternative to the busy quay.

Practical

mySea: soft mud and dead weed with good to very good holding; 'very good anchorage'. Beware the shallows on the east side on approach. A second mySea pin in the outer bay (36.14958, 29.60132) records the same bottom. Wikipedia: Mandraki lies east of the Horafia square with the churches of St George (1906) and Saints Constantine and Helena. The islets east of Kastellorizo were assigned to Turkey under the 1932 Italy–Turkey convention (Wikipedia), so do not wander into Turkish waters without clearing.

Best for

Quiet anchoring close to town
