The harbour of Volissos on the NW coast, with a small yacht quay, tavernas and ferries to Psara — the natural staging point for the crossing.

Berth stern- or bow-to on the eastern (SE) quay; laid moorings available (Noonsite, Feb 2025); depth about 2-3 m along the quay (Noonsite), Grecosailor gives about 3.5 m. CruisersWiki (2017): the area shown on old chartlets has silted to 1.5-2 m; 2.5-3.5 m in the concrete corner directly north. Good shelter in the meltemi though a slight swell enters; can be untenable in SW winds. Water and electricity — call the harbour contact Yannis Zorbas +30 6936 775 999 (CruisersWiki/Grecosailor) or the Harbour Master +30 6944 991280 (Noonsite). Fuel: station outside Volissos delivers except Sundays (+30 22740 21200 or +30 6937 122 901). Ta Limnia taverna (+30 22710 21014) helps with fuel and car hire. Anchor alternative in the cove just east. Volissos village 2.5 km uphill has a wood-fired bakery.
