A large white-pebble beach under high cliffs and greenery on the west coast below Avgonyma, with its smaller neighbour Tigani ('frying pan') next door — no tourist facilities at all.
Practical
Makria Ammos is about 20 km from Chios Town, white-pebbled with crystal-clear water and no facilities (greeka). Tigani cove is about 600 m north-west (38.4036 N 25.9670 E, OSM). Exposed to the west; a settled-weather lunch stop between Elinda and the NW coast. Pin: OSM Makria Ammos polygon.
