Lemnos Diving — Myrina, Platy & Diapori

39° 51.4′ N · 25° 3.4′ E · approximate

Lemnos' dive schools work from Myrina, diving rocky reefs and seagrass around Myrina and Platy bay, the Diapori channel at Kontias and Moudros bay, with WWII-era wrecks around the island.

Practical

Coordinate is approximate: a point in Platy bay derived from the Grecosailor Platy anchorage position. PADI: Myrina is the hub for dive centres and boat charters; sites around Myrina and Platy host octopus, groupers and moray eels; best May–October, water 22–27°C. Visit Limnos: the seabed from Evgatis to Moudros bay differs from the north/north-east coasts; currents are strong in places, especially to the east and north-east. No individual dive operator could be verified — ask at the Myrina port police or tourist office.
