Kerveli Bay (Samos)

37° 43.8′ N · 27° 2.3′ E

A tree-shaded pebble cove on the east coast facing Turkey, better protected than Mourtia, famous locally for its sunrise.

Practical

Good holding, but the bottom is foul with debris (cans, oars, tyres) and large rocks at about 8-10 m can foul your chain when the wind shifts - consider a trip line. Waterfront restaurants are mediocre; a 10-minute walk uphill brings you to the decent taverna I Kryfi Folia (The Hidden Nest). Validated 2014.

Best for

Quiet overnight on the east coast
