Katsadia Bay West (Lipsi)
37° 16.9′ N · 26° 46.3′ E
The wider western half of Katsadia, a sandy south-coast bay that is a favourite meltemi refuge, with the Dilaila beach restaurant ashore.
Practical
Up to 20 boats in season but room for only about 5 swinging; anchor in 4–9 m, good holding in sand and mud. Seabed littered with debris and old mooring blocks/ropes — use a tripline. The mooring buoys off the beach have been gone since 2022. Landing pier near the restaurant (Sailing Issues). Grecosailor: sand/seagrass in 8 m, firm hold. Dilaila is closed roughly October 1 to June 1 and becomes a loud night club a couple of times a week.
Best for
Meltemi shelter on Lipsi's south coast
Season
Jun–Sep (meltemi months); best May–Jun and Sep
