Kastellorizo Port of Entry status

36° 9.0′ N · 29° 35.5′ E · approximate

Kastellorizo sits 2 km off Kaş and is used for crossings to and from Turkey. Its status as a yacht port of entry is listed by Noonsite but reported inconsistently by other sources: confirm before you rely on it.

Practical

Position approx: town quay. Noonsite lists Kastellorizou as a Greek port of entry. Cruiser reports there (2015–2016) describe easy, relaxed clearance with all officials within a 3-minute walk and no agent required. A recent German yachting article cited in this area's overview says yachts cannot formally clear in here and EU owners arriving from Turkey can check in through an agent for a fee. A Grecosailor reviewer (undated) anchored nearby was visited by the coast guard and told to confirm an agent and check in the next morning. Agent: Papoutsis Travel Agency (Noonsite) handles clearance paperwork and also has an office in Rhodes; email partrv@rho.forthnet.gr. Official passenger crossings between Kastellorizo and Kaş have been possible since June 2007 (German Wikipedia). Practical advice: ask the Kastellorizo port police by phone or VHF before you arrive from Turkey, or plan to clear at Rhodes.
