Gaidaros Islet Anchorage (North Tilos)
36° 28.8′ N · 27° 17.7′ E
A little-known anchorage on the SSE side of Gaidaros ('donkey') islet off Tilos's north-west cape, once a dependency of the Agios Panteleimon monastery.
Practical
Anchor in 3+ m over sand (the weed patches are clearly visible) and take a line to the north side of the beach in the NW corner; exposed from ENE through SSW. A lighthouse stands on the north side, along with remains of Italian-era structures (Sailing Issues). Not to be confused with Gaidaros (Livadion) islet just north of Livadia port.
