Vourkari Waterfront Restaurants (Kea)

37° 39.9′ N · 24° 19.5′ E

The Vourkari quay is one continuous terrace of fish tavernas, cafés and cocktail bars, with crews eating at tables a few metres from their sterns. It is the social centre of the island for sailors in summer.

Practical

OpenStreetMap shows tavernas Aristos and Seirios, Calmo Kea and Mimis along the waterfront, and bars and cafés including Breeze, Azure, Veranta, Zeus Faber, Kokka and Botzi, plus a mini-market and bookshop. Medgulets describes the tavernas and cafés as filling with sailors in summer. One mySea reviewer found limited choice in late October, so expect fewer open places outside Jun-Sep. Book ahead on summer weekends. Fishermen sell their catch from their boats here.
