Vlychada Beach & Pumice Cliffs

36° 20.4′ N · 25° 25.9′ E

The beach right beside the marina, a strip of dark sand under pale pumice cliffs sculpted by wind into fluted shapes.

Practical

Partly organised (Greeka). The western part toward Exomytis is quieter and partly nudist-friendly. Greeka mentions a shallow artificial underwater 'museum' of statues and amphorae off the beach. The old tomato factory museum and Santorini Arts Factory are behind the marina (see Tomato Industrial Museum).

Best for

A swim and walk without leaving the marina
