Tourlos Waste Reception (garbage, oily waste, sewage)

37° 27.9′ N · 25° 19.6′ E · approximate

How to get rid of rubbish, used oil and holding-tank waste at the Mykonos new port. There are bins on the quay, but no fixed pump-out; liquid waste goes to a tanker truck you request.

Practical

Port Fund ship-waste plan (9 March 2021): the New Port at Tourlos has nine 1,100-litre general-waste bins, two 1,100-litre recycling bins and ten small 125-litre bins along the quays. The Old Port, Ornos, Platys Gialos and Kalafatis jetties also have bins. No fixed oily-waste tanks or sewage pump-out were installed. Oily residues, used engine oil and sewage are collected on request, straight from the boat into a licensed contractor's tanker truck; ask the marina office (marina@mykonosports.gr) or the harbourmaster to arrange it. Charges follow the plan's fee system, so ask when booking. Don't discharge in the marina; the ramp rules forbid dumping waste or oil. Position is the OSM 'New port - Tourlos, marina station' node.
