How to refuel at Mykonos. There's no fixed fuel pontoon: diesel is bunkered alongside by a fuel boat or tanker under Port Fund rules, and road fuel stations line the Tourlos-Chora road.

Practical

The Port Fund's New Port memo sets Zone 18 on the east dock as a short-time station for a petrol bunkering boat (25-40 m), with protection measures. Bunkering alongside is allowed in all the starred east-dock zones, which include the sailboat Zones 16, 17, 19 and 20, and at ramps 6 and 7 for large vessels only with Port Authority approval. The yacht rules add that every refuelling needs prior telephone approval from the marina, and in the Old Port it is allowed only in Zones 13-14, and in Zone 12 only when it doesn't obstruct cruise tenders. In practice, arrange diesel through the marina manager (tel 22890 28790 / 6946 942091) or a yacht agent and have it delivered to your berth. No supplier name or price is published, so verify locally. Nearest road stations (OSM), for jerry-can petrol for the outboard: AEGEAN at 37.45185, 25.33409, about 1.5 km south on the town road; SHELL at 37.44589, 25.33405 by the ring road; BP at 37.44851, 25.34541. Water and electricity come on prepaid Port Fund cards at the pedestals (see marina entry). The marina boat ramp is open sunrise to sunset for launch and haul-out only. No travel-lift was found, so plan haul-outs at Syros (Ermoupoli). Position is approximate, set inside the marina basin by the OSM marina feature; Zone 18's exact spot is on the Port Fund harbour map only.
