Rina Cave Swim & Snorkel (Naxos south coast)
36° 56.8′ N · 25° 29.4′ E · approximate
Swim into Rina's sea cave, where birds and bats roost among stalactites, and snorkel the pebble cove outside, where cold spring water mixes with the sea.
Practical
Greeka: the cove is sheltered from most winds and reached only by sea, by inflatable or caique from Panermos (about EUR 20 per person for a two-hour trip, per a reviewer) or on day tours from Naxos Town. From a yacht at Kalantos it is about 1 nm east by dinghy in settled weather. Expect a cold layer near the spring. Tour boats come and go in the middle of the day, so go early or late. Under MOm guidance, do not swim deep into sea caves where a monk seal could be resting (see Monk Seal Etiquette (Naxos coasts)). Position approx: just offshore of the OSM cave entrance.
Best for
Cave swim by dinghy from Kalantos
