Panermos–Rina–Kalantos Coast Trail (Trail 15)

36° 56.3′ N · 25° 28.5′ E

A rugged, partly waymarked coastal path linking the two south-coast anchorages of Panermos and Kalantos via Spedo and the Rina cave cove. It is a way to stretch your legs from the boat on a day when the meltemi keeps you in harbour.

Practical

OSM route relation: Trail 15, Panermos - Antr(i)ous - Spedo - Rina - Kalantos; about 275 m of ascent and 260 m of descent; OSM notes 'the trail is partial marked', and the regional trails page says it is demarcated and partly marked with works pending. Carry plenty of water: there is no shade and no supply between the two bays. Walk one way and have the boat or dinghy meet you, or walk out and back from Kalantos. Start position: the Kalantos end of the trail (OSM).

Best for

Walk from the Kalantos anchorage on a windbound day

Season

Spring and autumn; very hot and exposed in summer
