Platis Gialos Bay (Mykonos)
37° 24.7′ N · 25° 20.7′ E · approximate
A long, shallow, family beach on the south coast and the hub of the sea-taxi caiques that shuttle down the coast to Paraga, Paradise, Super Paradise, Agrari and Elia.
Practical
Aegean Islands guide lists it as an anchorage. Depth shelves gently (shallow water per Greeka), so anchor off the swimmer buoys in sand. Open to the south. Mini-markets back the beach (OSM 37.41493, 25.34131), along with many restaurants and watersports. Wikivoyage: small fishing boats carry tourists to the southern beaches, and Delos and Rineia excursions and glass-bottom boat trips also leave from here. Mind the constant caique traffic. Position is approximate, set about 300 m south of the beach point Greeka maps (37.41418, 25.34405).
