Nero Bay (Kato Koufonisi)

36° 54.2′ N · 25° 34.5′ E

A long sand-and-fine-pebble beach with an oasis of palms and tamarisks on Kato Koufonisi's west side, where the day caique lands.

Practical

Grecosailor: sand and rocks, good holding if you anchor a little away from the rocky shore. George Yachts calls Nero a near-uninhabited protected inlet for a settled-weather night. In the afternoon the caique and day-trippers arrive (koufonisia.gr), and the evenings are quiet. The footpath to the Panagia church and Venetsanos taverna starts by the palms, about 2.5 km and 30-40 minutes on foot.
