Naoussa Bay Anchorage (Ormos Naoussis)

37° 7.8′ N · 25° 14.3′ E

The big, nearly enclosed bay of Naoussa is one of the best-protected anchorages on Paros, with many coves for different winds and the village a short dinghy ride away.

Practical

Noonsite: in calm weather, yachts anchor near the town on the east side of the fort or just west of the marina, and there are many anchorages around the bay. mySea marks this spot north of the old port with good holding. Sailingissues: Naoussa gives shelter from all directions somewhere in the bay. The meltemi blows less hard into Naoussa than into other nearby ports, but northerly storms in the off-season send a nasty swell into the southern bay (Noonsite report). Water taxis and caiques shuttle between the town and the beaches all day. Land the dinghy in the old port or the marina. Position from the mySea anchorage entry.

Best for

All-round shelter with Naoussa village at hand
