The Merichas waterfront packs supermarkets, two bakeries, a pharmacy, a bank and a string of tavernas and cafés into a few hundred metres. It is the best place on Kythnos to restock.

OpenStreetMap lists AB Shop & Go supermarket (Mon-Sat 8am-11pm, Sun 10am-11pm), Tzamaros supermarket, the Agiari mini-market, Annezio bakery and Le Blé bakery, a pharmacy and an Alpha Bank ATM. The first supermarket also sells charts, gas bottles and water/power cards (mySea). Tavernas on the front include Arapis, O Kritikos, To Kantouni, Molos grill house and Ostria. The main road is closed to traffic in high season. Car rental is on the waterfront, with buses to Chora/Loutra and Dryopida/Kanala and taxis. Hours vary by season, so verify locally.
