Melanes to Flerio Kouros Trail (Trail 6)

Trail 6 follows the old water route from Melanes past watermills and the tunnel of the ancient Flerio aqueduct to the archaic marble quarries where an archaic Kouros still lies where it was abandoned.

The Kouros of Flerio is at 37.08353, 25.45212 and the Kouros of Farangi at 37.08112, 25.45393; the aqueduct tunnel entrance is at 37.08865, 25.45025 (OSM). Greeka's Melanes route lists ancient springs, sanctuaries, a watermill, the aqueduct tunnel, quarries and archaic statues. Short version: walk only Melanes to the Flerio Kouros and back (a few km). Start position: first trail node at Melanes (OSM).
