Ios Fuel & Water

36° 43.7′ N · 25° 16.9′ E

There is no fuel pontoon on Ios. Diesel comes by road tanker to the quay, or you carry it by jerry can from the filling stations on the road between Gialos and Chora.

Practical

Position is the ARGO filling station that OSM tags 'petrol station and boat supply', on the road up to Chora. Other stations in OSM: an EKO at the same junction, a BP (36.7273N 25.2800E) and a Shell (36.7216N 25.2833E). Grecosailor says fuel and water are 'by arrangement at the quay'. Sailing Issues Liveaboard says marine diesel can come by road tanker to quay berths at short notice, and that quay water is metered, can run at variable pressure and may need hose adapters. Arrange either through the quay staff or the Port Authority (+30 22860 91264). No prices published (verify locally). Fill tanks here before Sikinos and Folegandros, where supplies are even more limited.
