Armenistis Lighthouse (Mykonos)

37° 29.4′ N · 25° 18.9′ E

A 19 m octagonal stone lighthouse from 1890 on Cape Armenistis, the island's NW tip. It guards the Mykonos-Tinos channel, and from here you watch the sun set over Tinos and Syros.

Practical

Still an active major light, managed by the Hellenic Navy Hydrographic Service. Restored by the Aegean Maritime Museum (Greeka). Reach it by the road from Agios Stefanos; no bus. It's the landmark you round entering the Tinos channel. Give the cape a good offing in a meltemi, as seas pile up there. Position is the OSM lighthouse feature.
