Aliki Wetland Birdwatching (Paros)

37° 0.0′ N · 25° 7.8′ E

The marsh behind Aliki is the main of Paros's ten small wetlands, which together host about 200 bird species including herons, egrets, storks and cormorants.

Practical

The municipality's Imagine Paros site: Aliki is the main wetland, with hiking, nature-walk and cycling tours; sea birds include Audouin's gulls; migratory birds pass through. It also names the Kolymbithres marsh and the Santa Maria lagoon (about 2 km east of Naoussa, about 2 ha) as Natura 2000 sites. Walk up from Aliki Harbour. Position from the OpenStreetMap wetland outline.
