Agios Nikolaos Lighthouse (Kea)
37° 40.0′ N · 24° 18.8′ E
The lighthouse on the west point of Agios Nikolaos Bay, built in 1831 by the French lighthouse company on the ruins of a temple of Poseidon. It was the first light in the Cyclades and is the leading mark into Korissia and Vourkari.
Practical
About 8 m tall and a protected monument since 2010. It marks the entrance to Agios Nikolaos Bay; the chapel of Agios Nikolaos stands beside it. The position is the OpenSeaMap major light. Leave it to starboard when entering from the west and look out for ferries rounding the point.
