Agia Irini Bay (Kythnos)

37° 26.4′ N · 24° 26.0′ E

A pretty bay with a chapel, a small mole and a hamlet just east of Loutra. It is the overflow anchorage when the marina is full, a short walk from the hot springs.

Practical

Anchor on the NW side of the bay in 5-6 m (kythnos.gr). Sailingissues reports excellent shelter in the larger bay and you can take a line ashore. A north wind makes entering the little harbour difficult, and kythnos.net advises avoiding the bay in northerlies; use the small jetty, which has a few mooring rings, if possible. Walk over to Loutra's tavernas and springs. The coordinate is the sailingissues/OpenSeaMap marker.
