16° 42.5′ S · 151° 26.8′ W
A sand shelf along the north side of Motu Aito, the man-made islet facing Uturoa. It is the closest overnight anchorage to town for shopping and clearance.
Practical
Quota 20 boats. The arrêté puts this zone inside the Port Autonome de Papeete's Uturoa port area, so stay limits follow the port authority's own rules; the 2025 tourism brief gives 48 h. Anchor on the 'nice sand shelf' (brief). Dinghy to Uturoa's downtown marina (gate closed 6pm–6:30am, pedestrian access only at night) or to the town quay. In 2015 Noonsite reported tension over long-term boats blocking the water-taxi channel north of Motu Aito; keep the channel clear. Centroid of the zone corners in Arrêté 911 CM.
