Maupiti has no hotels and no fancy restaurants. Meals ashore mean family snack bars on the ring road and dinner at the guesthouses (pensions), most of them family-run and many on the motus.

Tahiti Tourisme describes Maupiti's lodging as family-run Tahitian guesthouses with no big hotels. If a pension takes outside guests for dinner, book in person a day ahead, and bring cash.
