Vaiea Quay (Maupiti)

16° 27.4′ S · 152° 15.0′ W

Maupiti's public quay at Pointe Patito, south of the village: the landing for the Maupiti Express ferry and the supply ships, and where you can lie briefly alongside to take on fuel. There is no marina on the island.

Practical

Noonsite (2024 profile): diesel and gasoline are available at the public dock, and boats of 5 ft draft or more can come alongside. The OSM fuel point is at -16.4564, -152.2513 beside the quay. The dock is shared with the ferry and cargo ships: ask before you tie up and don't leave the boat unattended. The commune's power station, the Direction de l'Equipement office and Loretta bakery are in the same block. For day-to-day landing, the town dinghy dock by the mairie (north, by the town clock) is more convenient. The Maupiti Express ran to Bora Bora three times a week (Noonsite 2024); check the current schedule locally.
