Moorea Water & Waste Fee – Town Hall

The commune of Moorea-Maiao charges visiting yachts a daily water and household-waste fee, payable at the main town hall in Afareaitu or any annex town hall.
Practical
Daily rate (2026): under 20 m 1,000 CFP; over 20 m 1,500 CFP. Pay at the nearest town hall on arrival (annexes in Paopao, Teavaro, Haapiti, Papetoai) or online (commune-moorea.net, 'payer mes factures'). Contact 40 550 478, regie@commune-moorea.pf. Once paid, use the trash points at the Paopao fishing-boat marina and Haapiti quay; private alternatives are Opunohu Marina (500 CFP/bag) and Cook's Bay Dock (ask the Tourism Committee).
