A small access pier at the river mouth in Afareaitu, Moorea's administrative village, reached by dinghy from the Vaiare (Patae) anchorage along a staked channel.

Approximate: OSM pier at the Afareaitu shore. From the ZMR follow the black-and-white stakes (keep them on the landward side) down the dinghy channel to the village. Don't block the municipal boats docked here. Ashore: town hall (pay the water & waste fee), hospital, pharmacy and medical centre, snacks, trailheads to the Vaioro and Afareaitu waterfalls.
