French Polynesia's great outrigger-canoe race finishes on Matira Beach after three days and about 80 miles from Huahine via Raiatea and Taha'a. Supporters cheer the crews in from spectator boats and from the beach.

Expect the Povai and Motu Fare One mooring fields to fill and heavy small-boat traffic; book BBMS moorings early and keep clear of the race course.
