Faarumai Waterfalls (Tiarei)

17° 32.1′ S · 149° 24.1′ W

Three waterfalls in a lush Tiarei valley, reached by a short walk from the north-east coast road; one of the most visited natural sites on Tahiti.

Practical

Coordinates from Tahiti Heritage. Very popular with walkers. Go after rain for the best flow, but beware of slippery rocks and flash floods. Combine with the Arahoho blowhole about 1 km east (Tahiti Heritage; Wikivoyage lists 'Les Trois Cascades').

Best for

Short jungle walk on a round-island drive
