Vaiehu White Cross Hike

A short, overgrown climb from the Vaiehu beach to a lookout with a white cross and a monument above the bay.
Practical
Coordinate approximate: on the slope above the bay. Route (Sugar Shack, Dec 2019): land below and to the left of the house, watching for rocks at low tide. Take the path up past the little house and keep straight where it veers left to an animal pen. Continue to a fence and use the loop left of the gate; close it behind you. Follow the garden fence of the house on your right to the left until you pick up the path again, then pass through another gate to the cross. The path is overgrown with sticker plants, so wear long trousers and shoes.
