CODIM Inter-Island Shuttle (Tahauku)

The CODIM passenger and freight shuttle runs from Tahauku to Tahuata and Fatu Hiva. It is handy for crew changes and day trips, or for running to the gendarmerie from Fatu Hiva.

Coordinate is the ferry terminal on OpenStreetMap. 2026 brief: Tahuata in 1 hour, Fatu Hiva in 3 hours; schedules at tmii.codim.pf, tel +689 40 02 73 07. The boat (formerly Te Ata O Hiva) was transferred to the Communauté de Communes des îles Marquises (CODIM) in 2022 for public passenger and freight service between Fatu Iva, Tahuata and Hiva Oa. A 2018 report gave Monday, Wednesday (not to Fatu Hiva) and Friday round trips leaving 6 am and returning 5:30 pm, 2,500 XPF to Tahuata and 4,000 XPF to Fatu Hiva. That is old, so check the current timetable. Keep dinghies clear of the shuttle area at the quay.
