Champ Jaune Dive Site (Taiohae)
8° 55.5′ S · 140° 6.0′ W · approximate
Nuku Dive's beginner site, five minutes from the quay: a sandy bottom with reef blocks, blue-lined snapper, fusiliers and endemic fish, used for try-dives, training and snorkelling.
Practical
Position approx: the operator gives only '5 minutes' by boat from the Taiohae quay, so this pin is an estimate inside Taiohae Bay between the quay and the entrance; not surveyed. Nuku Dive (2026) calls it an ideal site to discover diving, no certification level required. Try-dive 12,000 XPF, snorkel trip 6,000 XPF (2026 price list). Water visibility inside the bay can drop to near zero after heavy rain.
