St Michael's Fortress (Šibenik)

The medieval fortress on the hill directly above the cathedral, with the best view in town over the rooftops, the channel and the islands. Inside the walls is an open-air stage used for summer concerts and shows.

Coordinate is the fortress (OSM way 33149524). Walk up through the old town from the cathedral, about 10 minutes of steps. Run with Barone Fortress by the city's Tvrđava kulture organisation, which sells tickets online and on site; check its site for hours, prices and the concert programme. A good sunset spot before dinner in the old town.
