Lopud Harbour (Uvala Lopud)
42° 41.4′ N · 17° 56.1′ E
A wide bay off Lopud village on the north-west side of the island, below a Franciscan monastery and a long palm-lined waterfront. The island is car-free and gentle, with a path over the hill to Šunj beach.
Practical
Coordinate is the bay (OSM 'Uvala Lopud'). Anchor off the beachfront in about 5–7 m on sand and rock; holding is good. Some buoys belong to the waterfront restaurants. Open to the N and NW, so roll in a strong maestral; good in bura (NE). Ferry and catamaran berth at the village quay; keep it clear. Shops, cafés, restaurants and a post office in the village. No fuel. If it blows from the NW, cross to Šunj on the other side.
Best for
A relaxed night off a car-free village
Season
May–Oct; uncomfortable in strong NW
