Dubrovnik Old Port (Stara Luka) – rules for yachts
42° 38.5′ N · 18° 6.7′ E
The small walled harbour on the east side of the Old Town, behind the Kaše breakwater. It is for local boats, water taxis, excursion boats and the Lokrum ferry. Visiting yachts may not berth here.
Practical
Coordinate is the Old Port basin (OSM 'Luka od Kaša'). Yachts are not allowed to enter or berth in the Old Port; go to ACI Marina Dubrovnik (Komolac) or Marina Frapa in Gruž and take the bus. Anchoring off the walls and in the channel between the Old Town and Lokrum is restricted: since 2018 the UNESCO buffer zone plan for the Old City has called for limiting or banning the passage and mooring of yachts between the city and Lokrum (small Lokrum ferries excepted). Reports from cruisers differ on whether a short daytime stop is tolerated, and a harbourmaster fee has been charged in the past, so do not plan to anchor here; ask Dubrovnik harbourmaster on VHF 10 (+385 20 418 989) first. Under the 2025 national rules you may not anchor within 150 m of a natural beach (Banje, Sveti Jakov) and must keep 50 m off the coast if under 15 m, 150 m if 15–30 m.
